NEW YORK, Sep 22, 2000/ FW/ --- This collection was split in to three scenes like a play. The ‘Gorgeous Clothes For Gorgeous Girls’
section certainly showed some sassy stuff, with some of my most favored playful colors.
Violet
cashmere and daffodil blended beautifully together and silk denim trench coats and bootleg pants
kept it street savvy too. Turtlenecks and cashmere cardigan wraps with bootleg pants were the best.
However, the bleached blond Ivana Trump style very severe up-do’s were most off putting!
The ‘Luxury and Glamour’ section was all about black, charcoal, beige and gray. Belted cardigans
with sable or chinchilla trim and silk or wool trousers.
A luggage French leather bootleg pant in
tan was the most staple order from this menu and I would be hungry to find out how much they were
and order them up fast.
The ‘James Bond’ section was all black (or all white) and all-out sexy. A black satin ball skirt
with beaded paisley mini was tongue-in-cheek short and long at the same time.
A diamante sparkling
cigarette holder accessorized looks like the black silk velvet casino coats and tuxedo coats trimmed
with fox.
A gown at the end simply integrated a diamond necklace motif in to the dress. Diamonds were
always a girl’s best friend, no reason she shouldn’t wear them printed on her clothes.
