NEW YORK, Aug 10, 2001/ --- It's official. Caroline Ribeiro has joined the ranks of Revlon's radiant spokeswomen,
including Halle Berry, Melanie Griffith, Sarah O'Hare and Rhea Durham.
The 21-year-old Brazilian bombshell will appear in a print and television campaign, promoting Revlon's latest
innovation, High Dimension Haircolor - a permanent hair color that works in just 10 minutes.
"We're thrilled to have Caroline represent Revlon," said Cheryl Vitali, Executive Vice President of Revlon
Marketing. "High Dimension Haircolor is a marketplace breakthrough that demands a creative advertising campaign.
Caroline's exuberant, modern spirit and vibrant energy transcend the campaign and ultimately connect with today's
woman. She truly embodies the sexy, playful spirit of the Revlon brand."
On July 27, FWD reported that Caroline (pronounced Carol-ini) had inked a seven-figure contract with the
cosmetics giant, who said they wanted to focus on a younger market after Cindy Crawford retired in February.
Ribeiro's agent, Greg Christenson at Marilyn Models, said at the time: "Caroline couldn't be happier and more
enthusiastic about representing Revlon and getting her first exclusive cosmetics contract."
"She reads to so many customers. She is Latin, she has a touch of an Asian feel, she has an incredibly immaculate
career. She is Tom Ford's favorite girl."
The 5-foot-11 catwalker, best known for her provocative Gucci ads, will also star in the spring 2002 campaigns
for Valentino, shot by Steven Meisel in Beverly Hills, and Oscar de la Renta, shot by Michael Thompson.
