Dec 17, 2001/ FWD/ --- Rising tennis star James Blake, who was the target of current No.1
Llyeton Hewitt's alleged racist remarks at this year's U.S. Open, has signed with IMG Models,
the home of model tennis fans Bridget Hall and Gisele Bundchen.
While the six-foot-tall Blake, ranked 88th, has no plans to give up his day job, the agency
is betting his dark eyes and lovely pout will sell well beyond tennis fans.
Perhaps Blake, 21, will follow in the footsteps of David Altchek, doctor for the U.S. Davis
Cup team, who's featured in a new Polo campaign. According to reports, Ralph Lauren is a
patient of Altchek's and convinced the orthopedic surgeon to star in the ad after the designer
made a donation to Altchek's Institute of Sports Medicine Research.
