Casting Call for 'America's Next Top Model' Season 2
By: Lucy Oblena

LOS ANGELES, Jun 25, 2003/ FW/ --- Calling all aspiring models. UPN has announced that the producers of 'America's Next Top Model' have already begun a nationwide talent search for the next group of real women who think they have what it takes to make it in the high-stress, high-stakes world of supermodeling. Applications are now available at www.upn.com.

The brainchild of supermodel Tyra Banks, the hit dramality series 'America's Next Top Model' has established itself as one of UPN's strongest series ever among young women.

As of the Jun 25th episode, we already know the faces of Elyse, Adrianne, Shannon and Robin, which incidentally are the four women still left to compete after Kesse was eliminated in Paris.

'America's Next Top Model' as already proven by the current series trains aspiring models, and give them the experience and exposure to make it to the top.

And although the current series is not even over yet, 'America's Next Top Model' is already a qualified hit.

According to UPN, the Jun 3, 2003 episode delivered the network's highest series ratings ever in the time period among women 18-34.

Since its premiere, the dramality series is delivering double- and triple-digit growth in the time period over the 2002-2003 season-to-date average in all key adult and female demographics, improving +91% among adults 18-34, +70% among adults 18-49, +62% among total viewers, +136% among women 18-34 and +108% among women 18-49.

As the saying goes, 'numbers don't lie.' And it is really no wonder why Elyse, Adrianne, Shannon and Robin already have fans rooting for them every season.

Viewers fell in love with Elyse's matter-of-fact attitude and went through with her the accusations about her eating disorder. Her boyfriend put an end to it by saying 'This is a girl who wants to have ice cream after eating a big dinner.'

Sassy Adrianne, whom we know now, has been a victim of unscrupulous model recruiters. The visit from her mother gave us a view on the closeness of their mother-daugther relationship.

Plus-size Robin, whom we root for because we know that curvaceous women also has a place in the world of fashion.

Innocent Shannon, who, by her own confession is still a virgin. And we wonder how she will fare with the obvious and not-so-obvious sexuality in the fashion world.

These four women who are still in the running are already winners. And though over here at FW, we seldom make predictions. But we will make an exception on this one, and say that all four women are winners already. Someone will sign them up, whether they get the top prize or not.
