Gap Announces Six Winners of 'Gap Casting Call'
DALLAS, Mar 7, 2003/ FW/ --- America has voted, and they have chosen 6 'everyday people' to
be the models for the next Gap advertising campaign.
From Jan 20-28, 2003, the nine days of voting, more than 500,000 people across the country
visited Gap stores and logged onto gap.com to vote for their favorite contestant in each
of the following six categories: men, women, boys, girls, baby boys and baby girls.
And the winners are"
MEN'S CATEGORY
Jason Eason, currently a University of California at Los
Angeles student who is originally from Fresno, Calif.
WOMEN'S CATEGORY
Tamara Gabriel, a self-described army brat from Enterprise, Ala.
BOYS' CATEGORY
Shawn Million, a second-grader and black belt in karate from San
Diego, Calif.
GIRLS' CATEGORY
Ashley Newman, a ten-year-old sports lover from Doylestown, Pa.
BABY BOYS' CATEGORY
Steven Clayton II, a 1-year-old from Castle Rock, Colo.
Naima Woods, a 1-year-old from Chicago, Ill.
"We're overwhelmed that more than half a million people
voted for their favorite Casting Call contestants," said Kyle Andrew, vice
president of marketing for Gap. "And we're thrilled with the winners that our
customers selected because their individuality and confidence personify the Gap
brand."
