Jan 4, 2002/ FWD/ --- Twenty-year-old actress Jessica Biel will debut in her first L’Oreal
commercial this month, having just signed an exclusive worldwide contract with the company.
“Her [Jessica’s] natural beauty, youthful spirit and self-confidence completely personify the
famous L’Oreal phrase, ‘Because I’m Worth It’,” said Senior Vice President and General Manager
of the L’Oreal Consumer Products Division of L’Oreal USA, Inc., Carol J. Hamilton.
And it is worth it to Biel, who is eagerly anticipating joining the expansive L’Oreal group
which includes model Milla Jovovich, actresses Jessica Alba and Claire Forlani, and singer
Beyonce Knowles among others.
“They’re so inspiring, they’re great role models, and there’s something unique and different
about all of them,” Biel gushes.
Biel will act as spokesperson for the entire company and its brands including Feria,
Preference, Studio Line styling products, the VIVE line of shampoos and conditioners,
Plenitude skincare and L’Oreal Color Cosmetics.
“It’s really important to me to be a part of the L’Oreal image, because I use their products
in my personal life,” Biel adds.
Starring with Freddie Prince, Jr. in the Warner Bros. romantic comedy “Summer Catch” this
past summer, Biel is currently finishing up with the final season of “7th Heaven” (on the WB
network).
She will also be starring in Lions Gate Films’ “The Rules of Attraction” -- based on the
novel by Bret Easton Ellis and directed by Roger Avary -- this upcoming spring.
