New Faces for Lancome
Mena Suvari, Elizabeth Jagger, Devon Aoki and Oluchi Are The New Faces for Lancome

May 6, 2002/ FW/ --- Lancome just made the ultimate beauty mark! The cosmetics giant announced today that it has signed four new spokespeople to represent the brand globally.

Actress Mena Suvari, along with models Elizabeth Jagger, Devon Aoki and Oluchi will be joining Uma Thurman, Ines Sastre and Mari Gillian as Lancome's ambassadors of beauty.

"Lancome is about providing women around the world with unique breakthrough product solutions to fulfill their individual needs," stated Marc Dubrule, General Manager of Lancome International on the announcement.

"We want the women who represent our brand to speak to that individuality. All these women have a certain distinctiveness; they are diverse in age, life experience, culture and background making them ideal ambassadors for Lancome."

The four new faces are part of the new history of Lancome. They embody an exciting, dazzling, passionate and youthful generation -- a generation that is looking for products with equal parts modernity, creativity and expertise.

At 23, Mena Suvari is the second American to be signed by Lancome. She is best known for her critically acclaimed performance in the Oscar winning film, "American Beauty" for which she won a Movieline Award for "Breakthrough Performance" and a Screen Actors Guild Award for "Best Ensemble Cast."

Ms. Suvari has also appeared in such films as "American Pie," "American Pie 2," "The Musketeer," "Loser" and "Sugar & Spice."

Model Elizabeth Jagger, 17, daughter of British rock icon Mick Jagger and Texas-born mother Jerry Hall, began her modeling career at fourteen and has worked with such photographers as Mario Testino, Patrick Demarchelier and David La Chapell. She most recently appeared on the cover of the May 2002 issue of "Nylon Magazine."

Devon Aoki, 19, is the daughter of a Bavarian/English mother, jewelry designer Pamela Hilburger and a Japanese father, Olympic wrestler and restaurateur Rocky Aoki. Devon has appeared in several advertising campaigns like Chanel Couture by Karl Lagerfeld, Versace Atelier by Steven Meisel, Junko Shimada by Bettina Kimenda and has walked the runways for Chanel, Thierry Mugler, Balenciaga, Fendi, Givenchy and others.

Nigerian-born Oluchi, 22, has appeared in features for "Vogue," "Allure," "Elle," "Marie Claire" and "Nylon." She has also appeared in ad campaigns for Banana Republic, Gap, Express, Gianfranco Ferre and Limited. Her runway experience included John Galliano, Christian Dior, Chanel and Jean Paul Gaultier.

Mena, Elizabethe, Devon and Oluchi will appear in advertising campaigns first in the U.S. this summer as well as Europe and then Asia.

In the U.S. and Europe, Lancome's wildly popular Juicy Tubes, as well as new product offerings will feature the new faces.
