Jul 18, 2002/ FW/ --- Life begins at 40! And for three 40+ women, it also means embarking in a new career.

Yesterday at Chelsea Piers' Pier 59 Studios, More Magazine and Wilhelmina Models announced the winners of the 3rd Annual 40+ Model Search.

This year's grand prize winner is forty-two year old Linda Cole of Waltham, MA. Chosen from 10,000 entries, Linda was named to receive a Wilhelmina modeling contract valued at $15,000 as the Grand Prize winner of MORE Magazine's 3rd annual 40+ Model Search.

Runners-up Teri Butler, 42, and Karen Dessables, 45, will also receive Wilhelmina contracts worth $10,000 and $5,000 respectively.

The winners will appear along with the remaining seven finalists in MORE's November issue.

"Linda has beauty, energy and vibrancy that surpass any age," says Susan Crandell, editor-in-chief of MORE magazine. "As the only lifestyle magazine dedicated to the 40+ woman, MORE's model search serves as a reminder to our readers that age is just a number and beauty is an attitude."

Linda -- who is a mother of two boys, ages 7 and 14 -- enjoys traveling with her family, skiing, and has a strong interest in fashion. First runner-up Teri of Kingwood, TX is the mother of six who spends most of her time shuttling among Booster Club meetings, dance recitals, and sports practice. Second runner-up Karen of Decatur, GA -- who has lived all over the world including Haiti, France, and the Middle East -- recently took up travelling again by becoming a flight attendant.
