David Bowie and Iman to Appear in First Ad Campaign Together
Tommy Hilfiger Taps Rock and Fashion Icons for New H Hilfiger Collection
DALLAS, Nov 11, 2003/ FW/ --- Tommy Hilfiger is launching his new H Hilfiger line, and has two
of the world's most recognizable faces representing it.
Rock legend David Bowie and his supermodel wife Iman has agreed to be the faces of H Hilfiger.
The campaign was shot in Amsterdam in October 2003 by renowned photographer
Ellen Von Unwerth and will appear in select American men's and women's magazines
in April 2004.

Tommy Hilfiger's long time love for fashion and music is well know. In his
search for "faces" to represent the new brand's collection, the designer looked
for cultural icons that would strike an emotional chord across generations and
around the world. He selected Bowie and Iman as the perfect representatives for
the sleek, sophisticated campaign.
"David Bowie and Iman bring everything I'm looking for to represent this
brand -- music, style, elegance, creativity, sophistication -- they're a living
testament to all that influences and inspires me," said Hilfiger in a statement.
"David is not only a rock 'n' roll legend and a true artist, he's also a style icon whose
evolving look over the years has had a huge impact on the world of fashion and
music," the designer added.
"And Iman, in addition to being the ultimate supermodel and a style icon
in her own right, is the ideal woman -- smart, entrepreneurial, chic, beautiful,
ambitious and creative. Together they communicate the essence of the H Hilfiger
lifestyle perfectly, and I am honored to feature them in my new
campaign."

work," said David Bowie in the same official statement. "Iman and I are thrilled to be working with
him."
"I'm very taken by Tommy's new H Hilfiger line," said Iman. "And working with
both David and Ellen Von Unwerth on this project is a real plus, and such a lot
of fun."
The campaign which is already 'in the can' was shot last month in between stops of
Bowie's sold out European "A REALITY TOUR promoting his new CD by the same name.
The campaign supports the
launch of H Hilfiger, the brand's new pinnacle line. H Hilfiger is
sophisticated, sexy and refined, and its high-end quality and signature
detailing make it the gold standard among Hilfiger's diverse product
offerings.
Bowie's worldwide "A REALITY TOUR" will reach North America December 6,
following his already sold-out U.K. and European leg, which runs October 7
through November 28. The U.S. and Canadian dates will encompass 20-plus
cities.
