LOS ANGELES, Apr 6, 2005/ FW/ --- During the recently concluded Fall 2005 season, there was a seeming changing of the guards on top models as we see new faces dominating the runway. But, have you wondered where the former queens of the runways had gone?
Gisele Bundchen
The sinuous Brazilian who paved the way for the Brazilian invasion from New York to Milan and Paris, Gisele Bundchen who is one Victoria’s Secret’s Angels also started a movie career with “Taxi,” where she played a supporting role to Queen Latifah and Jimmy Fallon as a sexy bank thief who can drive a BMW like Mario Andretti.
Ohmyrha
Her unique beauty and unorthodox looks made her one of the most soft after models for the past several years, so Ohmyrha’s absence on the catwalk last season was very much noticed.
If you missed her though, just rent or buy a copy of Pierce Brosnan and Selma Hayek caper, “After the Sunset” wherein Ohmyrha played as one of Henry Mooré’s (Don Cheadle) companion.
Though she did not have any speaking part, her presence was surely noticed! By the way, if you’re wondering if she will ever get a speaking part, don’t worry, that day will come too.
Ohmyrha has a good speaking voice, and actually, she has also a good singing voice since she has actually her own band.
Devon Aoki
Returning on the runway last season, Devon Aoki, the Eurasian beauty who had graced the international catwalks can currently be seen in “Sin City” starring Bruce Willis and Clive Owen.
As trim and fit as ever, Devon Aoki also looked sprite on her feet last February. That is an expected side effect after training in martial arts for several months for her role in “Sin City.”
Also, from what we have heard, Devon Aoki can sing also. She was quoted last February saying that she had spent much of time in the music studio preparing for the release of her record.
