LOS ANGELES, Dec 7, 2005/ FW/ --- What will happen next year without Tyra for the 2006 edition of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show as the supermodel announced her retirement as a catwalker last night?

Tyra Banks who recently launched her own talk show and just recently concluded Cycle 5 of her successful reality show, ‘America’s Next Top Model,’ surprised the TV audience with her retirement statement.

One of the mainstays of Victoria’s Secret and one of the first ‘Angels’ of the lingerie company, Tyra Banks is almost an institution for the Ohio-based company since it started holding fashion shows.

Still, as busy as she is, although being a Victoria’s Secret Angel might be very lucrative, as Tyra ‘gets older’ in an industry where youth is almost worshipped, retiring while she is still on top might be the option she chose.

Also, with a budding singing career, plus her TV shows, Tyra Banks might have found out that there is life after the catwalk. After all, for all intent and purposes, she is still very young, and truly has not even reached her prime when it comes to things that she can accomplish.

As talented as she is, Tyra Banks can still add a lot on her already impressive résumé.
