LOS ANGELES, Mar 17, 2006/ FW/ --- Kerry Washington caught the attention of the movie-going public with her portrayal of Ray Charle’s wife Della in the film Ray. The actress just signed a new starring role with L’Oreal Paris, as the spokesperson for the brand’s HIP High Intensity Pigment™, a new cosmetics collection for women who love color.
Washington who is very excited working with L’Oreal said that one of the main reasons she was so attracted working with the cosmetics company is because of their slogan ‘Because I’m worth it.’
“L'Oreal is so much about supporting women, helping women feel good about themselves, and it's great to feel like I can be a part of that,” Washington said in a statement.
Winner for "Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture" for Ray at the NAACP Image Awards in 2005 and Nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for "Best Actress" in the film Lift in 2002, Kerry Washington is proving to be one of the busiest actresses in Hollywood.
Most recently, she was seen in this past summer's Mr. and Mrs. Smith, starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and Fantastic Four, directed by Tim Story and based on the beloved Marvel comics' superheroes. Washington will next be seen in the Wayans Brothers' comedy Little Man, scheduled to be released July 5th, 2006 and The Last King of Scotland opposite Forest Whitaker, scheduled to be in theaters fall 2006.
Meanwhile, the new L’Oreal print ad featuring Washington will debut later this year.
