Keira Knightley Is The New Face of Coco Mademoiselle

PARIS, May 2, 2006/ FW/ --- Keira Knightley just added a new role on her resumé as she is named the new face of Coco Mademoiselle Face replacing supermodel Kate Moss.

Born in the South London suburb of Richmond, Knightley caught the eye of the movie-going public when she appeared as Sabe, Decoy Queen to Natalie Portman's Queen Amidala in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace in 1999.

Since then, she became the latest darling of Hollywood, with high profile and blockbuster films to her name, King Arthur and Pirates of the Caribbean wherein two sequels are already on the making, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (already in post production) and Pirates of the Caribbean 3, which is currently being filmed.

She also garnered an Academy Award nomination for her portrayal of Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Bennet in ‘Pride and Prejudice.’

The face of Coco Mademoiselle is the second contract that Keira Knightley has landed as a ‘commercial model.’ Her first was the with British luxury label ‘Asprey.’

As the new face of Coco Mademoiselle, it is expected that Knightley will be both in print and TV ad campaigns for the brand. Rumors say that the British actress is expected to net about $1 million for her new role for Chanel.
