LOS ANGELES, Aug 2, 2006/ FW/ --- In the iconic pose of the Petty Girls and Varga Girls, the original pin up girls, sexy cover girl Petra Nemcova announces Rampage’s new image of being a sophisticated and sexy lifestyle brand for the young contemporary customer.
Shot by famed fashion photographer, Gilles Bensimon, the pose, though very sexy, yet demure, a quality of the now emblematic pin up girls’ drawings of George Petty and Alberto Varga evoke elegance and sensuality at the same time. Sexy without being overt, elegant without being snobbish, the photo captures the romance of a bygone era and translated it to today’s mood of modernity.
Commenting on her new ads, Petra Nemcova, stated, "I think all women want to feel sexy and confident, yet comfortable at the same time in what they wear.”
Rampage clothes and accessories are easy to wear and make women feel great. This is my second season working with the Rampage team and I was thrilled with the past ads and I can't wait for this new campaign to break. It is more sexy and darker then the last campaign," she added.
Dari Marder, Creative Director, Rampage, described Petra as the quintessential Rampage woman.”
“She is strong, confident and sexy. She exemplifies the glamorous style Rampage consumers strive for. Our goal with this campaign was to position Rampage as an aspirational brand for the young contemporary market. The new creative is dramatic and chic and will position Rampage as a luxury brand," Marder added.
The campaign, which was created by Iconix in-house marketing team will break this September in fashion and lifestyle magazines such as InStyle, Elle and Cosmopolitan and on the internet.
