Emma Roberts Named The Face of Dooney & Bourke

NEW YORK, Sep 17, 2006/ FW/ --- Early September, 15 old actress Emma Roberts has been selected as the new face of Dooney & Bourke designed by Peter Dooney targeted for tweens and teens.
Known for her starring roles in the Nickelodeon series ‘Unfabulous,’ she plays the title role in the movie ‘Nancy Drew’ which is currently in post-production. A member of the Hollywood royalty, she is the daughter of actor Eric Roberts and the niece of Academy Award winner Julia Roberts.
This is not the first time that Dooney & Bourke has chosen a Hollywood celebrity to represent the label. Before Emma Roberts, Mischa Barton and Lindsay Lohan were also ambassadors of the Connecticut-based accessories house.
For the current season, designer Peter Dooney turned it up a notch by teaming up with Emma Roberts, not only to model the teen collection, but also to lend a hand in designing. Emma spent a day with the Dooney & Bourke design team to create a new limited edition bag bearing her signature style that will debut in December.
The teen collections featured in the Emma Roberts' campaign promise to be the hottest new handbags this fall. The bags are scheduled to hit Dooney & Bourke retail boutiques in October.
They will also be available at department stores such as Bloomingdales, Lord & Taylor, Macy's,
and Nordstrom and online at www.dooney.com
