PARIS, May 17, 2007/ FW/ --- ‘My Blueberry Nights’ opened the 60th Cannes Film Festival yesterday to mixed reviews. The first English language film by renowned Hong Kong Director, Wong Kar-Wai, the movie is about a young girl who was jilted by her boyfriend and took a a soul-searching journey across America to resolve her questions about love while encountering a series of offbeat characters along the way.
Showing ‘in-competition,’ the movie stars Norah Jones in the lead role, and supported by Jude Law, Natalie Portman and Rachel Weisz.
Following this screening, StudioCanal, in collaboration with Louis Vuitton hosted the party for the film "My Blueberry Nights" in an exceptional setting in the presence of Yves Carcelle, President of Louis Vuitton and director Mr. Wong Kar-Wai, who was wearing Louis Vuitton both on the red carpet and at the bash.
Critics might differ in their opinions about the movie, but the attendees to the after party hosted by Louis Vuitton last night gave the gathering a two-thumbs up.
