PARIS, Apr 24, 2007/ FW/ --- French supermodel Dji Dieng was bestowed the ‘Leading Ladies Award’ by ÖSTERREICH Edition for personal support of the Breast Cancer Prevention and for her social engagement as "Goodwill Ambassadress" for UNESCO National Committee in Sri Lanka.

Dubbed as the ‘supermodel with the longest legs’, Dji Dieng received the award last April 19th during a gala event at the Oval Hall in Vienna wherein she was feted for her humanitarian work with the UNESCO Children Village.

She also participated in the UNV / UNESCO Peace Concert, the AIDS Foundation’s Life Ball and the Breast Cancer Prevention Campaign.

Receiving her award, Dieng said that she is accepting the award on behalf of all people and volunteers engaged in the projects, and underlined how important everybody’s help and support for these projects to continue.

Dji Dieng shared the spotlight with the night’s other awardees: the President of the National Assembly H.E. Barbara Prammer, Top-Journalist Dr. Antonia Rados for RTL und N-TV, Mayor Rosemarie Schönpass, Brigitte Jank - President of the Economic Chamber Austria, President of the Cancer League Doris Kiefhaber, Bestseller-Author Waris Dirie, Vice-Rector of the Burgtheater Karin Bergmann, Dr. Daniela Zaknun, Dr. Jeannette Strametz-Juranek, Janina Havelka, Elke Weichenberger and Stella Deetjenm Back to Life Foundation.
