DALLAS, Apr 13, 2007/ FW/ --- Model and writer Summer Rayne Oakes, known for her environmental work has teamed up with Replay to launch the Italian fashion brand’s ‘Organic Blue Jeans.’

As its name implies, Replay Organic Blue Jeans are completely made from natural organic cotton denim, making it environmentally friendly. Even the tiniest details have been added with full respect for nature in mind.

For example, the thread used for the seams and the inside pockets is organic cotton, as are the bar tacks that have replaced the traditional metal rivets. The buttons are made with vegetable-tanned leather and attached by hand using rough twine.

The jeans will be packaged in recycled paper and sold in all Replay stores throughout the world (U.S. stores mid-April 2007), and featured in window displays designed with an “ecology” theme.

As part of the launch, Summer Rayne Oakes will host the “How to become an Eco-Fashionista” workshop. OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, the workshops will take place at the Replay store on Friday, May 4th, Saturday, May 5th and Sunday, May 6th from 4 – 6 p.m. daily.
