Nike Launches Maternity Line

NEW YORK, Aug 26, 2001/ --- Pregnant women "just do it" too. At least, that's what Nike is hoping. The
athleticwear giant is teaming up with high-end maternity designer Liz Lange to create a line of workout
gear for moms-to-be.
Lange will create 10 pieces that will hit NikeTown stores this spring. They'll also be showcased in Bryant Park during Fashion Week next month. It will be the first-ever maternity collection to show at the tents. The line, whose prices range from $36 to $90, will also be sold in Liz Lange's boutiques in New York and Beverly Hills. Lange launched her designs in 1997 to fill a void in the muumuu and smock dress-dominated maternity market. |
