News Coverage:
PARIS, Mar 8 - 16, 2001/ FW/ --- The City of Lights became brighter with the
stellar shows of fashion designers. And the whole fashion world - from the press and the
retailers came to see it!
Cacharel by Clements Ribeiro --
" For their second season at Cacharel, British design duo Inacio Ribeiro and Suzanne
Clements presented a collection frankly influenced by French couture. Though the pair coined
a new term for their current fashion take – "cari couture." Since their arrival, these designers
have injected much-needed momentum into this famous French label that had lost direction. "
Celine by Michael Kors --
"Michael Kors returned to the seaside for this Céline Fall-Winter 2001-2002 womenswear
collection, and the result was as passionate and warm as two lovers' runaway weekend. "
Chloe by Stella McCartney ---
"Paris may continue to speculate about Stella McCartney's future plans, but if she does
leave Chloe the house will definitely be on a roll for Fall 2001. "
Christian Dior by John Galliano --
"Everything was a little twisted at the Christian Dior show Tuesday, though in the
ever-inventive world of its designer John Galliano that's how it should be. "
Louis Vuitton by Marc Jacobs ---
"Marc Jacobs has done it again. This afternoon, in the glimmer of sun through the glass
walls of the greenhouse at Parc André Citroen, the American designer sent out a Fall-Winter
2001-2002 womenswear collection that was sheer perfection. "
Yves Saint Laurent by Tom Ford --
"Tom Ford dove deep into the Yves Saint Laurent archives and came up with a soulful
Fall/Winter 2001 women's wear collection that proved the young American sportswear designer
can indeed follow in the ready-to-wear footsteps of the master French couturier. "
