The Oscars Arrive in Hollywood

Plane Lands In L.A. With The Precious Statuettes

Mar 15, 2003/ FW/ --- The most coveted prizes in the film world arrived in Hollywood on March 14.
A United Flight from Chicago brought the 50 Academy Award statuettes to Los Angeles.
The aircraft was decked out for "The Flight of the Oscars" -- with each side of
the aircraft featuring four-foot-tall images of the Oscar statuette.
From the airport, the statuettes was transported via armored security van to the
Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for safekeeping.
The awards will be presented at the 75th Academy Awards on Sunday, March 23.
