Akira Isogawa: Shapes and Volumes
SYDNEY, May 15, 2002/ FW/ --- Spring 2003 collection by Akira Isogawa is one of his best
yet.
Following the steps of Yohji Yamamoto and Kenzo, Isogawa created shapes and volumes on
dresses that defies convention.
Uneven hemlines, layered empire ankle-length dresses, wide cut pants, and layered blouses
graced the runway, attesting to the young designer's creativity.
What catches the eye is the attention to details given to each garment.
And that is when you start to see Yohji's and Kenzo's mastery of their craft in Akira.
