SYDNEY, May 3, 2004/ FW/ --- This week only two menswear designers will show individual collections here in Sydney and for both it will be a first time solo catwalk solo moment.
Andysoma had his moment today, and while speaking to some influential buyers front row before the show for a large Hong Kong and Chinese department store chain who have been stocking Andysoma for the past few seasons, the room filled to maximum capacity to see if his tight knit and highly functional style had changed.
‘A question of style’ as running images present our past and future in the urban jungle.
This young designer who as a man makes clothes for men happily mixes the active with classical proving that he is also a talented tailor offering two button sports coats and neo romantic 1980’s touches through volume, large collars and piping and the use of large buttons as detail.
Evenings are reserved for disco in matt blackened gold, pinstripes and jacquard. And the buyers’ opinion at the end of the show? A positive show and delight to see the boy take charge of his tailoring skills.
