“Hump Day”

SYDNEY, May 5, 2004/ FW/ --- SYDNEY, May 5, 2004/ FW/ --- This is the second half of the day of the third day of MAFW and I’m on my third wind, in a manner of speaking. With just the afternoon and evening shows to tackle, plus one day of shows tomorrow, I will get my much needed rest from the fashion world before the menswear Spring 2005 begins on June 27 in Milan.

Tonight was more than interesting in terms of celebrity appearances. Helena Christensen was at Morrissey this evening, her second appearance at Sydney fashion week with her buddy, ex-model Gail Elliot.

Sass and Bide, who used to show here at MAFW, but had moved on to New York was in attendance at the Willow show. Designer for Willow, Kit Willow Michelmore use to be their PR.

Also Nicole Kidman’s sister Antonia Kidman and husband Angus Hawley, were present, but Nic was nowhere in sight.

The weather here is still amazing despite autumn with temperature averaging 26°C.

Some factoid for those who live in the Northern hemisphere: the seasons are the exact opposite south of the equator. It is fall and winter in Australia, while it is spring and summer to those who see the North Star.
