SYDNEY, May 3, 2005/ FW/ --- With the second day of Mercedes Australian Fashion Week under way, it is often the new names that are making a splash so to speak.
So while Jade Jagger sits in her Sydney suite awaiting tomorrow's debut on the Sydney catwalks where she will do a single exit for Charlie Brown, the young and not yet famous continue to make heads turn.
Very Sydney and very Australian, JOSH GOOT
turned cotton t-shirt fabric into an entirely coherent and contemporary wardrobe.
The ten-year celebration this week is not only a celebration for the Mercedes Benz Australian
Fashion Week organization, it was also a special occasion this morning for long time Sydney
fashion guru ALEX PERRY as he also marked his 10th year in the business.
Love, sunshine and spring are in the air at REBECCA DAVIES’ BARE headquarters.
Beach perfect pretty dresses are hippy detailed with sparkling beads over a bright and enthusiastic colour palette.
Ethnic wonder floats throughout NICOLA FINETTI’s
spring summer 2005/06 collection (photo at right) as African inspired beading appears like warrior breastplates on t-shirts, hangs as tassels from eveningwear and winds around delicate shoulder straps for striking detail.
