NEW YORK, Sep 9, 2003/ FW/ --- And just when we thought that New York Fashion Week cannot be
more exciting, another event pops up!
For those of you who are planning to tie the knot soon, this is the event for you - "Wedding
March" on New York's Madison Avenue.
The event kicks off on the last day of New York Fashion Week. On Friday, Sep 19 through Sunday,
Sep 21, Madison Avenue, Vera Wang and Bridal Industry Tastemakers will advis engaged women
and brides from 32 states and 3 countries.
The event kicks off with a gala at Barney's New York on Friday evening, followed by
as customized schedule of celebrity seminars and panel discussions the next morning,
Saturday.
Saturday afternoon, Cartier, Orrefors, Steuben, Wolford, Frette will welcome celebrities
and brides-to-be in their stores.
In the evening, Vera Wang will deliver the keynote address during the gala reception at
the Whitney Museum
Sunday will feature the couture runway preview of the Fall 2003 bridal collections of
Vera Wang, Badgley Mischka, Carolina, Herrera, Ulla Maija, Monique Lhuillier, Nicole Miller,
Watters & Watters, Priscilla of Boston.
Jewelry by Platinum Guild International, makeup by CHANEL, hair by Phyto will highlight
the shows. Fashion show wrap party with celebrity designer appearances at Steuben Glass.
During the event, hundreds of brides-to-be from across the country will learn
about planning their dream wedding, enjoying unprecedented VIP access to more than
30 style and entertaining super stars, including: renowned designer Vera Wang, event
impresario Colin Cowie, cake goddess Sylvia Weinstock, celebrity chef Daniel Boulud,
event designer Preston Bailey, style-maker Simon Doonan, cosmetics guru Bobbi Brown,
and artist and event stylist Avi Adler.
