Corey Lynn Calter LOS ANGELES, Apr 3, 2004/ FW/ -- Corey Lynn Calter previewed her Fall/Winter 2004/05 collection showing 40 looks in all. The backdrop at the beginning of the runway where the models start their walk is a scenic picturesque path wonderfully landscaped with plenty of trees around certainly set the tone for the entire show. As well as the run of shows in tri-fold that resembled a boarding pass and sitting on top of it on the front row was a mini binocular.

One of the guests seated at the front row who was anxiously trying out the binoculars mentioned that it looked funny since everything sort of looked wavy. Noticing the run of shows, I immediately responded that maybe it has something to do with the way the run of shows were listed on the tri-fold paper in a wavy sort of way as she smiled in agreement.

When the lights dimmed, the music started with the sound of a jet taking off. It was clear at that point that Corey Lynn Calter wants to show a woman how to dress with style when she travels and what other fun and sexy wardrobe to bring along for some fun time when she gets to her destination. After all, for those of us who covers the international fashion scene, we go to New York, Paris, Milan, London and now LA. Add to that menswear and haute couture and you’ve got one heck of a busy schedule that cover about a four month period with only about a week and a half rest in between at the most. Why not be fashionable, sexy and seductive when you travel even dress up for dinner during those hectic nights.

The designer used luxe and rich fabrics of silk chiffon and cashmere as well as cotton khaki, corduroy and wool in solids, plaids, fun prints (floral, chicken and car) and used beading and embroidery to accentuate the detailing even faux fur that always translates to rich, sheik and sexy. Not to mention the c-label shoes (that matches some of the pieces) and bags (that also matches some of the pieces as well as the shoes) for Corey Lynn Calter all fun and ready to go from the airport or the train station to painting the town red at night whether it be Paris, New York, Milan, London or LA.

The first model took her walk in a silk chiffon dress opened half way with button details worn with a lavender slip showing and a pearl collar tied around the neck that gives that long, lean, sexy yet innocent look to it. Followed by a very fun chicken print silk chiffon top under a printed silk dress and corduroy jacket and then by a cotton khaki tie back top with cotton car print skirt and faux fur collar with the model wearing shoes with the same car prints as well.

Corey Lynn Calter gave us quite a lot to think about with the show, better that we keep our eye open when her collection hits the stores this coming Fall/Winter 2004/05 in order to be able to see all that was presented at the show.

Why not make traveling stylish, fashionable and fun and always keep in mind to always make room for a little bit of partying at least once per stop so as to not dread the next time you have to pick up and go again.
