Daniel Faret PARIS, July 3, 2004/ FW/ --- Daniel Faret is back to doing what he does best: colours and lots of them!

Faret’s Spring/Summer 2005 collection is all about taking us back to the reputed elegance found at the Hampton’s on the East Coast. Soft pinks, greens, soft blues, colourful printed fabrics, etc dominate. (But a word of warning: Don’t be fooled! Although the collection is dedicated to the elegance of the Hampton’s, it is still for the jetset!)

The first in a litany of things that grabs your attention is Faret’s pants. He created wonderful and easy to wear trousers with double belts. These pants are rich in detailing and may be worn with either a simple polo or with a matching blazer for a dressier look. In one of his suits, the trousers have vertical bands running down the sides. This makes for a very sportswear look. The blazer from this suit can too be removed giving the trousers the opportunity to survive on their own merit.

Faret’s sumptuous white shirts with long sleeves are made from a poplin and cotton blend and are also available in a polo version. Either can be easily worn with a variety of things from the collection or simply with a pair of jeans. Either way, you’ll have a winner on your hands!

Known as an innovator, Faret deepened his research into fabrics and other natural materials that may be used with other traditional fabrics. This season, he created a beautiful and soft suit made from a bamboo and cashmere blend. You got it, bamboo fibres! This suit is a classic and reeks of luxury, style and quality.

Experimenting further with his choice of fabrics, the designer from Bordeaux chose to create a suit in reinforced picked cotton. Generally, this type of cotton is used in making shirts. Faret dreamed up a heavier stock of the fabric so that it could support being made into pants for men.

Daniel Faret Faret achieved other great things in this collection. He has made soft, beautiful long sleeved T-shirts in cashmere. They hug the body and give a man a certain comfort and confidence that simply cannot be found in a lesser product.

What’s best about the collection is that it looks like what people expect, want and demand of Daniel Faret.

Jean-Jacques Picart, fashion advisor to the industry’s best (and most notably associated to Christian Lacroix), says of the Faret collection, “When you see this collection, it makes you want to buy everything and wear it now! The bad thing is that you have to wait another year to have it.”

Faret fans and department stores from San Francisco to Beijing will be happy with this collection for numerous reasons.

When men want colour and don’t know exactly how to go about it, they know they can buy Daniel Faret and feel good about their choice because they know that no matter what; it is a wise choice that will make them the envy of their friends.

While colour is not the only thing for which Daniel Faret is known, they certainly have become an inextricable element of the Faret Look. Because very few designers really understand how to work well with vivid colours in for men’s attire, clients and buyers have come to firmly rely on Faret’s vision and skill for providing to consumers what they want.

With the cuts in this collection, Faret also should firmly establish himself among the ranks of other designers known for their impeccable suit cuts. Of this, Picart went on to say, “In this collection, Daniel’s cuts for his suits are irreproachable. He has found a good production partner in Italy and it shows.”
