PARIS, Mar 9, 2003/ FW/ --- If there is one thing that Dries Van Noten fans will be assured
this coming fall and winter, they will be warm.
The designer sent a collection of wraps, sweaters and coats in sorbet colors guaranteed to
keep the northwind away.
Using solids and graphical prints, the knitwear is a delicious way to dress up during those
cool autumn nights.
The models wearing bobby socks with their high heels gave a very youthful look, expanding
the designer's target market to the school hallway fashionistas when the fall term starts.
There is also a lot of pieces for the twenty-something and thirty-something crowd, the
main clientele of Dries Van Noten.
Wraps, jackets and coats trimmed with fur, and of course the sorbet sweaters and wraps
will make them very happy.
Notable piece is a kimono-inspired jacket in green brocade with floral trimmings. It
was signature Dries Van Noten - the use of contrasting elements converged into one
garment.
A very strong collection under Dries Van Noten's belt which reinforces his reputation as
one of the emerging designers to watch in Paris.
