Dries Van Noten PARIS, Oct 6, 2005/ FW/– Dries Van Noten turns oriental delicacies and 1920’s romanticism into a timeless spring summer 2006 wardrobe where women are softly feminine and ladylike.

Van Noten manages to transform wrinkled fabric into a collection of defined silhouettes, structuring jackets and finishing them off with ribbon detail, pinching waists and tying obo’s.

Floral and bold print tell a tale of their own dancing on silky long skirts, blouses and little fresh and cool summer dresses in a dusty palette of pale pastels and sandy memory before adding light and playing with stripes.

She is mysterious and dreamy, sensual in her approach to life and the mundane. Shorts are the new trousers and there is a play on lengths and layers as shirts hang below jackets and transparency hints at the ultimate womanly allure.

Bows and cords tie jackets and strengthen the loose lines Van Noten desires for the lady of today who hides an eternal spirit and longing of everlasting chic and style.
