PARIS, Jul 1, 2003/ -- Belgian designer Dries Van Noten put on a party
in Paris, colourful and delightful for his 2004 spring / summer men's collection.
Casual and comfortable, elements of the formal mixed with the street, cumberbunds,
tailored waistcoats and jackets mixed with loose trousers and shorts of various
lengths are worn with printed t-shirts and tanks.
The tuxedo jacket is reworked
to create contrasting and colourful lapels and collars in an esy chic style.
Slight marine influence through double breasted overcoats large and spacious,
pants are cuffed and sporty versions of trousers have a side stripe.
Continuing the casual feel are long pullovers and semi trasparent polo?s that hang loosely
in the arms and waist, wide stripes both horizontal and vertical fit to any
garment.
The colour and pattern scheme is well put together and the Van Noten combination
never seems out of place in his habitual folk mixing, from blues, browns,
pinks, greens, reds and whites.
The party continued with colourful drinks
and colourful music in a Saturday night celebration, for no particular reason,
apart from the fact that, this is Paris and that, this is fashion!
