PARIS, Jul 6, 205/ FW/ --- The Parisian fashion giant Givenchy transformed a gymnasium into a striking white space leaving Ozwald Boateng the job of modernizing the menswear wardrobe while adhering to the age old Givenchy sartorial tradition they should be proud of. He succeeded with flying colors.
In a summer dream of travel and the sea, pinstripes are prominent and flat fronted trousers are comfortable and elegant.
White leather shoes accompany the cool collection that merges rope motifs and collarless shirts, streamline jackets and five pocket jeans while vests and waistcoats remain one of the prominent trends of the season.
Triggering a slim silhouette, contrast comes from hidden pluckets and two tone shirts, large soft light knit and visible stitching on denim.
Trousers vary and taper at the ankle matched with Boateng’s version of the seventies safari jacket.
Moving away slightly from the time-honored Givenchy palette, light is added along with flashes of salient red and a metallic indulgence of pewter and dusty gold allowing even a fresh mint and black tuxedo for the non-conventional
Boateng plays with contemporarily current contours, cutting and molding a strictly masculine shape choosing exquisite fabrics to define an entire wardrobe that has just the right amount of flexibility and sophistication the exclusive Givenchy man is looking for.
