Heike Jarick LOS ANGELES, Apr 2, 2004/FW/ -- Intriguing designs is what Heike Jarick gave us for a preview look of her Fall 2004 collection with 35 exits shown. Graduating from Central Saint Martin’s in London and currently living in New York, this designer showed us how the countryside had possibly influenced this collection.

Showcasing some of her pieces with Christophe Coppens wonderful riding hats was a sure hit and certainly enough to take your mind off the normal humdrum daily workload and go to a more relaxed mode but all done with style and finesse.

Heike Jarick started the show with her Sir Lancelot’s Robe, an ivory coat with back insets in cotton felt shown with the model wearing a riding hat that looked both chick and stylish.

Not to be outdone by her Red mohair cape jacket with buckles and convertible sleeves worn with a red mohair pencil skirt (the King Bagdemagus Cape Jacket) was one not to be missed.

The designer seems to want to give the women of LA a look different from days past without taking away from the style they so long and look for, after all, this is LA. As in the Fuchsia lotus print dress with gathered and beaded bustier in silk chiffon worn with a fuchsia hand knitted cape worn off the shoulder (The Queen of Morgause Dress) or even the fuchsia mohair dress with front silk ruffles and open sleeves (The Fair Maiden Gown).

Just with the name association alone, Heike Jarick seems to have that royalty or even prince and princesses dancing in the back of her mind when she was creating this particular collection.

Jarick also managed to incorporate fur into her collection with her black wrap in fox fur cleverly matched with a brown pencil skirt in herringbone twill as well as her cherry eel leather jacket with fox fur trim (the Duke of Buckingham’s Jacket).

As you can see, this designer gave us versatility and a flare of the dramatics with her Fall 2004 collection. What era awaits us in the future? Only this fair maiden Heike Jarick has the key to unlock the secret door.
