AUSTIN, Feb 25, 2003/ FW/ --- The innovative jewelry designs of Anthony-Nak was founded in Austin, Texas in 1998, by Anthony Camargo and David Nakard Armstrong.

Armstrong's experience with fabrics and couture tailoring and Camargo's background in creating functional art from glass, wood and metal make for a uniquely creative partnership.

Armstrong and Camargo have created distinctive jewelry on their own terms-inspired by a sense of relationship to the past and to proportion, as well as to the contemporary environment.

While the pieces invoke the romance delicacy and elegant symmetry of Neoclassical, Victorian and even Bohemian design, they are also unique and free of the constraints of predictable jewelry design.

"Part of our art," says Camargo, "is that we are renewing these references in a way that people can relate to now. Our jewelry has a look that changes with whoever is wearing it."

The Anthony-Nak collection was launched in 1998 and was an immediate success.

They are the Fashion Group International recipient's of the Rising Star award 2002.

Anthony-Nak is available through Barney's, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Fred Segal Sparkle and more than fifty fine jewelry stores and boutiques across the country.

Their designs have attracted celebrity clients such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Natasha Richardson, Reese Witherspoon, Britney Spears, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, First Lady Laura Bush and the First daughters Jenna and Barbara.
