NEW YORK, Feb 13, 2004/ FW --"The Jeffrey Chow collection is an expression of new glamour - the confluence of day and evening, modernity with tradition and fluidity with structure," the designer said in his press notes.
And true to his word, Jeffrey Chow delivered a collection of “power with glam” at the office – right amount of glamour and sophistication for the office setting but enough power to talk business over dinner.
The designer started the show with a high-waisted olive wool tweed jacket with brown wool mix pinstripe sleeves over an oatmeal cashmere crewneck sweater, oatmeal cashmere cardigan with silver lame neck tie attachment worn over a brown wool mix pinstripe pencil skirt – a girl cannot ask for more.
Along the same line, how about an iridescent celadon silk blouse underneath a brown Geelong hand knit V-neck sweater worn over a bronze lame skinny pants.
Jeffrey Chow makes you want to sing, “I like being a girl,” because of these beautiful, very wearable clothes.
In cooperation with Saga Furs, the designer brought a hint of 1930s Hollywood on the runway with blue fox and mink capelets to show his eveningwear collection.
A salmon duchess satin shift dress with a cinnamon fox capelet and a yellow cashmere cardigan with silver lame tie neck attachment under a silver lame tank worn over wool flannel pencil skirt and a fox chubby in bias striping. Now take that to the theatre and enjoy the show.
The Ecco Domani fashion grant winner proved why he was among the chosen five awarded by the Italian wine company to show his designing prowess this season.
Backstage, when asked what he felt when found out he was a winner, he immediately said with a smile, “It felt so good to be recognized.”
Congratulations Jeffrey Chow! It’s a job well done and we look forward seeing your collection in store shelves this fall.
