LOS ANGELES, Mar 31, 2004/ FW/-- At only 21 years of age, Jenni Kayne showed Los Angeles her ability to go head to head with some of the seasoned designers out there as she gave us a preview of her Fall 2004 collections.
Jenni Kayne showed her capability to dress a woman with style and versatility whether only 18, 20, 30, or even 40 something.
The Main Tent was full not just by fashionistas but with celebrities as well. Seen at the front row were, Dustin Hoffman, Owen Wilson, Lara Flynn Boyle, Sharon Stone and Farah Fawcett just to name a few. The paparazzi had a field day mobbing all of them as is evident with the flashes going intermittently quite a number of times before they move on to their next prey. It did not seem to bother the audience at all since they too were just as excited to get their daily doze of the celebrity scene that normally shows up at the shows, after all, this is the Los Angeles Fashionweek and only within a few miles from Hollywood and Beverly Hills.
As the lights went down with everyone seated and the photographers back at the photographer’s pit, everyone’s excitement and attention shifted to the runway as the models took their walk.
With tailored suits in leather as well as pinstripes worn with silk-satin tops with tails hanging from the back (that can also double as a mini dress) gave the ensemble a tuxedo look, a tweed cape that can give one that vintage very classy look even when worn with denim jeans and the silver sequined skirt in varying length that was also shown worn over pants are just a taste of what the young designer has to offer for Fall 2004.
With the creativity that Jenni Kayne clearly possesses, she can only get better with time. As is evident at the show, this young designer already has a following that gave her a standing ovation at the end of the show.
