May 6, 2003/ FW/ -- A native of Australia, Leona Edmiston's first foray into
high fashion was with Peter Morrisey when they launched the label Morrissey in 1983.
The partnership lasted for over a decade, and the two designers decided to dissolve
the partnership in 1997.
Since then Leona Edmiston had been designing under her own name, recently launched
a new label called "Frocks" - 'a tribute to the dress in all its incarnations."
According to Leona Edmiston, "the label celebrates the confident urban woman.
It exudes classic femininity, effortless style, chic and sexy sophistication."
"A clever combination of whimsical detail, flattering proportions and utterly wearable shapes,"
Frocks is all about the modern woman who works in an office during the day, and has opera
tickets for the weekend.
