LOS ANGELES, Mar 20, 2006/ FW/ --- Kara Saun presented her take on post war fashion as she see it in the year 2056, where the biggest storm is war and fashion represents hope for fashion is hope as the designer well put it.
She gives brightness to a dreary season by using a color palette consisting of mainly reds, blue, green, purple, gray with a splash of black in such soft luxe fabrics of silks, satins, lace and leather.
She offers femininity without taking away 'women power' that the females in today’s times work so hard to achieve.
Her silhouettes are soft and flowing and she added a very playful twist to her collection by incorporating accordion pleats to just about every piece she presented.
Kara Saun also placed emphasis on the waistline by using a half bustier, obi like leather to bind them all along adding that masculine almost warrior like effect without taking away from her femininity.
With Los Angeles being the melting pot of every nation and culture there is, Kara Saun offers a mixture for the shoppers and fashionistas both young and the not so young.
This debut collection though in its early stage shows promise and growth in seasons to come with such a fashion hopeful designer fighting for what she believes in armed with just her scissor.
At the end the audience seemed to appreciate all the hard work she put into the collection by giving her a round of applause as well as a standing ovation.
