Morphine Generation LOS ANGELES, Mar 20, 2006/ FW/ --- Morphine Generation’s mantra ‘Hopeless romantics since 1979’ sounds like a contradiction of terms because it is a jeans company, but the label’s Fall 2006 collection proved that romance and denim could mix.

Sending the expected denim jeans that ranged from low rise to natural waist, pencil slim to relaxed fit, stove-top to cargo style, it was the mixing and matching with the multiple modifications of the jacket, tees and sweaters that gave it the wistful aura.

Trench coats came double-breasted but with a raw finish, military inspired day jackets were adorned with epaulets and parkas were embroidered or beaded with a skull logo.

Plaid boy shorts were paired with plaid hooded capes, suede jackets featured sleeves that were slightly puffed and cardigan sweaters were intentionally torn to give it a thrift shop look.

No, these looks will not probably make it to a White House state dinner, but it will definitely get the nods of your peers.
