LOS ANGELES, Mar 22, 2006/ FW/ --- After last season’s triumphant debut at Smashbox Studios, Kelly Nishimoto returns for Fall 2006 proposing 37 looks that are feminine and contemporary while staying true to her artistic vision of fashion.
Opening the show with the Olympic gold medalist, Tara Lipinski, wearing a very light and airy floor length dress with spaghetti straps also setting the tone for the entire collection.
Nishimoto used soft luxe fabric of mainly silk satins from solids to plaid prints in some lusciously rich fall hues working very well with her concept.
From very light and airy to form fitting silhouettes, the designer demonstrated that a woman’s physique does not have to be compromised. She sent out dresses in full circle cut, to a 3-tier balloon like hemline giving that voluminous affect.
Nishimoto used Swarovski buttons, pleats, lace, and lace overlay to add details as well as a sash that doubles as the strap and a bow adornment in front of a floor length dress, minimalist but just the right touch in all the right places.
As in seasons past, Kelly Nishimoto again managed to show the attendees that she still continues to make her ever popular coresette in a lace overlay that binds and holds your waistline for that very sexy look.
Ending the show with Lesa Amoore in a baby doll strapless dress bound with a wide satin ribbon/sash at the hemline to give it that balloon like hemline effect again presented in plaid print that seems to resemble a very festive Christmas gift wrapping.
