Karanina Spring 2006: Sportive & Casual
Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios (Los Angeles Fashion Week) Spring 2006
By Mari Davis

Karanina LOS ANGELES, Oct 19, 2005/ FW/ --- Sportive and casual, Karanina focused on comfort with a generous dash of romance with her cute sundresses and shorts.

With ruching, lace accents, smocking and stylized floral prints, Karanina gave a nod to the romantic trend this season.

Shorts cuffed at the hem, overall jumper suits and baby doll dresses as the main fare of the collection, it has a very youthful feel to it, ensuring that this will be a favorite among teens and twenty-something when March rolls around.

The silhouettes might not have broken new grounds in fashion, but Karanina’s innovative use of braids as spaghetti straps and thin belts deserve a mention.

A backless sundress created as a halter top in front with the braided straps criss-crossed at the back, then continuing on to be a thin sash / belt looks delicious making it perfect for sun worshippers during summertime.

With 35 exits shown, Karanina kept her collection very tight, just giving the audience a taste of what will be in store shelves when spring rolls around.
