Buffalo by David Bitton Spring 2006: Fine Detailing on Denim
Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios (Los Angeles Fashion Week) Spring 2006
By Heide Winkenwerder
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 20, 2005 / FW / --- David Bitton’s Buffalo jeans is not new to the fashion designing industry. First launched in Canada in 1985 as a womenswear and menswear label and now sells to prestigious stores such as Macy’s, Bloomingdales and has been worn by A-list celebs like Christina Aguilera, Halle Berry and Brad Pitt just to name a few.
What is in a Buffalo jean you ask? The answer is quite simple, an ‘au natural butt lifter.’ This is an innovation that both men and women hunger for nowadays. Why go out and get the stepper where you need to work out and sweat when you can go out and get a Buffalo jean and do some shopping at the same time, and later look good and be noticed while wearing the brand.
David Bitton showed 54 exits at the Smashbox Studios during the Los Angeles Fashion Week to highlight his Spring 2006 collection cleverly titled “Dressed to Kill” with a medley of James Bond theme songs that played through out the show.
Innovative design with an edge, showing his butt lifting denim and funky versatile separates for men and women alike, the show was full of energy and he had the crowd going and asking for more in the end.
The denims were presented in distressed cuffed jean Bermuda shorts, boot cut light wash jeans, straight leg dark wash torn cigarette jeans, denim cargo dress with eyelet trim just to name a few.
Embroidery also played a part, placed on the back pocket of his jeans, on a dress and on a jacket. Other fine detailing by way of a jeweled pink halter top, jeweled tube top as well as an eyelet bustier, and eyelet trim on a tier dress along with some crochet pieces to keep that innocence with an edge look.
So if you want to have your butt lifted without spending all that money for cosmetic surgery, then you best look out for one of David Bitton’s Buffalo jean and see if he doesn’t solve your problem.
