LOS ANGELES, Oct 20, 2005/ FW/ --- Yael Aflalo designing under the label Ya-Ya created distinctive looks for Spring /Summer 2006 by using artisan craftsmanship and luxe fabrics.
Mixing European aesthetics with the more casual and comfy style of Los Angeles, Aflalo’s gowns and dresses are chic with a generous dash of mischievousness resulting to very sensual silhouettes that are fluid and manifestly urbane.
Not forgetting the long California beach line, Aflalo also sent shorts, Capri-length pants and tank dresses, making sure that she dresses her ladies whether they are at Rodeo Drive or Venice beach.
Creating original prints, Aflalo stayed within the tropical island trend this season with her stylized butterfly, frangipani and palm leaves designs.
Her use of tie-dye needs special mention. Used in frocks and gowns, this traditional craft was brought center stage once more to be part of an urban girl’s wardrobe.
A very wearable collection, Yael Aflalo might find herself swamped with orders when the retail buyers start visiting showrooms after the Los Angeles season.
