LOS ANGELES, Aug 9, 2005/ FW/ -- 7th on Sixth, producers of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week At Smashbox Studios, announced that the Spring 2006 Los Angeles fashion season would be held from October 16 through October 20, 2005 at Smashbox Studios in Culver City, CA.
Now on sixth season, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios has become an established force within the fashion industry showcasing the finest west coast talent twice a year.
Emerging designers, as well as renowned collections participate in over 30 runway shows each season. The event, which has grown enormously over the past 3 years, garners national and international attention from the media, buyers, celebrities and stylists
“Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios continues to grow and establish its place among international fashion destination events,” said Fern. Mallis Executive Director of 7th on Sixth, Vice-President of IMG, in a statement.
“We are looking forward to another successful event in which an ever-growing roster of designers present their collections in Los Angeles,” she added.
In a separate statement, 7th on Sixth announced that they will begin registering buyers, retailers, stylists, and related industry professionals for all of their shows in North America.
The new categories are in addition to the print, broadcast, and freelance media that are already being registered.
"We realized that there are a tremendous number of retailers, buyers and stylists whose needs could be better serviced by 'officially' registering them as part of our Press and Industry List," explained Ms. Mallis.
"Its our hope that by bringing these individuals, and the companies they represent, into the fold we can insure that all of our designers are getting the best attendance possible, and as event organizers we can communicate to all of them more directly with appropriate information, updates and benefits in travel, accommodations and so forth."
