LOS ANGELES 1 APRIL 2004 – Martin Martin showed the most unique designs of the week so far with their fall/winter 2004 collection.

If you don’t follow fashion, you might be a bit confused as to what their designs represent. But clearly, the designer is merely trying to bring a touch of Paris or Europe to LA with the punk flare. If you think really hard or drive around the Melrose, Sunset and Santa Monica areas, you’ll find the same concept in some of the younger generation.

Martin Martin is merely showing LA how it really should be done.

The collection is daring, eye catching and young though not limiting. It’s the open-minded age group who dares to be different and be noticed.

The models came down the catwalk all wearing men’s shoes. This could give one a much-needed rest from all those stilettos.

Dress shirts in black and white worn upside down over loose fitting crop pants in solid black and pinstripe.

A few body hugging ultra sheer jersey tops in tank style, long sleeves and one that hangs past the fingers worn over unfinished mini, knee length and mid calf skirts.

The designers showed peplum style hemlines and just how handy a safety pin can be to hold together your tank top or accessorize a hand warmer or even a loose sock over your boot.

If you’re having difficulty piecing all these, how about all white ruffled tulle wrapped around several times like a fur wrap.

Martin Martin have given LA fashion something to think about and wondering what concept they have in store for us come Spring.
