Milan Menswear Show Fall 2005
By: Randal Jacobs
MILAN, Jan 18, 2005/ FW/ ---With the temperature getting down as low as 0 degrees Celsius last night, snow was inevitable. So now show goers have a viable reason for running behind schedule to every event.
This pop star once told that this time of the year is when Milan looks beautiful even with all the dog poop on the ground.
Speaking of Pop Stars, right as the first snow hit the ground, Pharrell Williams of the Neptunes and N.E.R.D was spotted front row at the Gucci show. While Boateng was making his statement in purple, rude guests were leaving in order to make it to see what John Ray is doing next.
DSquared2 got this morning off to a Holy start. Definitely sending a warm message to the audience, the show had so many underline meanings. As midday arose, we got back to our un-Orthodox ways for a late lunch at the Moschino presentation. Interestingly, somehow good PR and food often makes a collection so much better.
As I trudged my way back from the Victoria Grantham show, who on the coldest day of the year showed in a freezing parking garage, I made it back in one piece without slipping in the ice and snow in my pumps. Now that was a fine task in itself.
