MILAN, Feb 23, 2005/ FW/ --– Bruno Basso and Chris Brooke are two busy characters. After tearing the house down with their first solo runway show in London last week they are in Milan under the protective and professional wing of AEFFE to present their 70 piece collection to the fashion powers of Milan.
Winners of the prestigious London Fashion Fringe Award 2004, the duo’s unique sense of style and desire for fun through clothing is the collaboration and synergy of their two creative minds, where Basso’s expertise of print development and Brooke’s attention to design and form come together to produce a collection of visual conflict by juxtaposing images of opulence and poverty.
‘The Succubus and other Tales’ is a delicious journey of repressed eroticism where the she-devil lures her victims into a sexual liaison before corrupting their body and soul.
In a ‘No romance’ collection, the female silhouette is one of tight tailoring, bias-cut delights and soft draping for a special regal impact that neither fits one stereotyped historic female figure or the other.
Comical and colorful, wool is mixed with jersey, shoes and handbags match, Swarovski crystals sparkle and luxurious fur and leather inserts are all part of a dramatically visual collection.
So like they say ‘our concepts may be strong and out inspirations eccentric, but we also understand that fashion is about having fun’. Here Here!
