Milano Moda Donna (Milan Womenwear Show)Spring 2006
MILAN, Sep 25, 2005/ FW/ --- Linda Evangelista is in town for the M.A.C. AIDS Fund, wherein as M.A.C Viva Glam spokesperson, the supermodel on behalf of the foundation donated 100,000 euros to Anlaids, Italy’s AIDS foundation.
M.A.C. actually has a big presence in Milan this season as the ‘official make-up sponsor of Milano Moda Donna.’
As it has done in New York and London, the international M.A.C. Pro teams will be providing make-up for several designers during Milan fashion week, which include Alberta Ferretti, Marni, Roberto Cavalli, Dsquared, John Richmond, Pollini and Alessandro Dell’Acqua.
And for the first time, the cosmetics giant is also opening its first M.A.C. Lounge that will be located at the Fiera.
Speaking of the Fiera, the main venue of Milano Moda Donna has been very busy today with at least 6 catwalk shows and one presentation today.
Alessandro De Benedetti who showed at 1:00 PM today presented a very sexy vision about the American west with cowgirls wearing Capri-length pants and bustier denim ensembles. With a keyhole on the hats, it almost felt like Zorro!
Still, the more interesting take is on the salon girls wearing layered gowns with asymmetrical hemlines, the waist emphasized with a bow that functioned as a belt.
Clips, which immediately followed Alessandro De Benedetti had the L.A. scene down pat with red carpet worthy gowns and pants sets. Slinky and beaded, these ensembles can easily be taken to Los Angeles celebrity stylists for presentation at the closed-door Oscar fashion show meant just for stylists and personal shoppers to the stars.
