MILAN, Jun 30, 2005/ FW/ --- This collection felt very youthful and vibrant from previous collections. The show was filled with different looks that varied from rocker chic to ethnic to Italian fly style.
The suits that opened the show had wonderful detailing. The white suits were embroidered with floral motifs and the tuxedo black coats had gold embroidery on the lapels. One of the premiere looks was the short set suits which are definitely a novelty.
The show moved on to a rock flare where ash grey denim jeans were styled with studded pointy toe boots. Along with the boots, there were sleek patent leather slip-on shoes.
The denim section was very extensive showing whole denim outfits complete with jackets as well as denim overalls.
A white pinstripe kaftan was beautifully made. Black and yellow then began dominating the runway in stripes on jumpers styled with black trousers. A yellow raincoat will look great covering their metallic lame suit.
This collection was all about understatements that expressed a lot, but clean cuts and slim lines is what Pignatelli is known for and they are giving that and more.
