MILAN, Sep 20, 2006/ FW/ --- In its continuing effort to highlight Russian design talent, the Russian Fashion Week organizing committee announced today that Julia Dalakian, Max Chernitsov and Larissa Pogoretskaya will be presenting their Spring/Summer 2007 collection in Milan.
Three women’s collections by Julia Dalakian, Max Chernitsov and Larissa Pogoretskaya are on the official schedule of Milano Moda Donna running from September 23 to September 30, 2006.
The joint show by Julia Dalakian, Max Chernitsov and Larisa Pogoretskaya will be held at 4.30 p.m. on September 30 at Milano Fashion Centre (Via Gattamelata, 5 – Sala Spiga).
The national designers are going to demonstrate their collections on the same day as the famous Italian brands Missoni, Roberto Cavalli and Frankie Morello.
The Russian fashion debuts in Milan are the result of strategic partnership cooperation between Russian Fashion Week and Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana. Since its early days Russian Fashion Week has been following the best world standards.
Today, RFW occupies the regular positions next to national fashion weeks in Paris, Milan, London, etc. «Russian Fashion Week has gained the immaculate reputation thanks to its use of the same format and professional standards in Moscow as they do at the fashion weeks in Milan and London», wrote the most influential Italian paper Corriere Della Sera late in March 2006.
“They have several fashions weeks in Moscow running sometimes in overlap, but Russian Fashion Week… is the only one to correspond in format with Milan and London Weeks...”, supports Britain’s The Financial Times.
The Russian names in the Milano Moda Donna schedule have aroused instant interest in the industry media.
Italy’s MF Fashion magazine announced the Russian show: “It was just yesterday that they used to be the best fans of the Italian fashion and now they export fashion. They are Russians that were brilliantly presented at the last Milan fashion week: there were buyers as well as designers.”
Commenting on three Russian designers unveiling their collections in Milan, Alexander Shumsky, Russian Fashion Week General Producer commented, “The Milan shows are the results of the five-year work by the Russian Fashion Week organizers. Looking for young gifted designers, attracting financial backers for them, providing the Russian and international publicity and trade locations – all of that has started to deliver prominent results. Milan is just the beginning.”
